I purchased my Lascal product from eBay or a garage sale, am I eligible for a warranty?
No. Only new purchases from a Regal Lager Authorized Dealer appearing on this site are eligible for warranty. The purchase of any Regal Lager brands from a non authorized dealer voids all product warranties.
KIDDYGUARD SAFETY GATE
How wide is the KiddyGuard when fully extended?
The KiddyGuard will fit an opening up to 51” (130 cm) wide.
Up to what age is the KiddyGuard recommended?
Two years of age. The KiddyGuard is like other tested safety barriers, tested according to the ASTM standard F 1004-00. The standard is based on the capability of a child 24 months of age.
Can the KiddyGuard be used at the top of the stairs?
Yes. When installing the KiddyGuard at the top of the stairs, place the gate at the top floor level, at least 6” (15 cm) from the first step.
Why does the KiddyGuard have to be mounted close to the floor?
If the gate is mounted a couple of inches above the floor a child or a pet may be able to crawl underneath. This could potentially cause an injury and/or damage the gate.
What installation hardware comes with the KiddyGuard at purchase?
All hardware that is needed to mount the gate into wood or a concrete/brick wall is provided(two long wood screws and plastic wall anchors). If you are installing the KiddyGuard in other materials than wood or a concrete/brick wall, you will need to purchase a Wall Installation Kit or Banister Kit.
When do I need a Wall Installation Kit?
Wall Installation Kit is to be used if there is a skirt/baseboard on the wall to which the lower wall attachment is to be attached, or if the wall is sheetrock/plasterboard. The Wall Installation Kit includes extra long wooden screws, toggle bolts and spacers to account for the baseboard.
What banister width does the Banister Kit fit?
The Banister Kit fits square formed banisters up to 1½”(40 mm) and round up to 2” (50 mm).
I have banisters on both sides of the stairs. Do I need to purchase two banister Kits?
Yes, as each kit comes contains one pair of banister fittings.
Is it possible to install the KiddyGuard in an angle?
It is usually no problem to install the KiddyGuard in a horizontal angel as the mesh is flexible. If you install the gate in a horizontal angle make sure the Locking Strip is securely locked into the Locking Hooks when the gate is closed.
Never install the KiddyGuard at a vertical angle as that will leave a gap that the child can climb under, or the gate will not be high enough at the locking end.
Can I use the KiddyGuard outside?
Yes. However, the KiddyGuard might get discolored by sun and rain. The length of use can be reduced because of the environment. Do not leave the gate outside in freezing temperature.
BUGGYBOARD AND KIDDYBOARD
What are the age and weight limits for the boards?
All Lascal boards are designed for children from two to five years of age. The maximum weight for the KiddyBoard and BuggyBoard Basic is 66 lbs (30 kg). The maximum weigh for the BuggyBoard Maxi is 44lbs (20 kg).
How do I know if the Kiddy/Buggyboard will fit my stroller?
It is important to check that there is enough space for your toddler to stand comfortably on the boards. Cup holders and baskets are often in the way of the child. Check if yours are removable.
The KiddyBoard is designed to fit prams and strollers with a rear axle or other horizontal bar that has a diameter of 10-22mm. The KiddyBoard should not be attached to the stroller brake bar.
The Buggyboard connectors attach to the upright tubing that rise from the rear wheels. They need to be positioned so that the stroller can still be folded with the connectors in place, between 4 – 17” (10 – 43 cm) from the ground. The BuggyBoard can be adjusted for a chassis with a width between 30-51 cm (12-20"), and fixed on tubing with up to 15 cm (6") circumference.

I have two strollers but only one Kiddy/BuggyBoard. Can I purchase additional connectors?
Yes. Keep in mind that if your strollers are not identical the boards will have to be adjusted for each stroller.
